Wellbeing Puppy Ralph

Swims Confirmed with Our Blue Light
Took a trip today to 7lakes to visit the team from Our Blue Light to arrange emotion support swim dates with us for this year. Ralph had a paddle and our water shy Bob even got his paws wet - VICTORY! Looking forward to working with them throughout 2022!

New Team Member
Ralph was born 24 October 2021 in Southern Ireland and has made the long journey to the Newfie pad, arriving safely, and settling in with the pack beautifully. He is already showing his swim potential by introducing himself to the pond – sorry fish! Welcome to the team Ralph!

Fund-raising by The Metal Monocle
Caroline and Tommy, the owners of The Metal Monocle in Leicester, have been selling t-shirts to raise funds for Pete Lewin Newfoundlands and the total of their amazing efforts came in at just under £1000! On behalf of the team, thank you for your support and the fantastic amount raised.

Last swim day with EMAS
Throughout the summer, we have been engaging with the health and wellbeing team with East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust, taking groups of 6-8 staff members into the water for emotional support and water rescue demonstrations. The team have thoroughly enjoyed helping their colleagues and hope to continue with the swims next year.

We had a fantastic day with the founders and families involved with Xtra Potential. To see the joy the dogs bought to the children and families that took part today was something to be treasured forever. Pete Lewin Newfoundlands is collaborating with Worldwide Peer Support Organisation to help emergency service staff and offer peer support to aid them with their emotional wellbeing. This happens every Sunday, 20:00 GMT on Zoom. Get in touch with us if you feel this is something that could help you.
